Understanding Cost Centers

Cost Centers are a list of accounts to which WorkNET users can charge time and materials.  Your Systems Manager can create and manage Cost Centers.  Time,  materials, test costs, services, appointment visits or any billable item can be charged to a Cost Center.  This feature allows you to compartmentalize costs for billing and budget projections, audits and internal budget reviews.

Information can be easily retrieved based on Cost Centers, either globally, individually, or by dates.

Spectrum Group can create interfaces with other accounting software which will automatically share the information gathered in WorkNET to be shared with the accounting software.

Creating and Managing Cost Centers

Only Systems Managers have access to creating, editing or deleting Cost Centers.  The Cost Center list is maintained in the "Codes" link of the Systems portion of the program.

Start by clicking on the SYSTEMS link in the upper banner.

Click on the CODES link in the banner just below the SYSTEMS link which you have just clicked.
